Special Government Home Renovation Loan Program with FHA 203K Renovation Loans in Florence Colorado. A buyer or existing home owner can do meaningful amounts of remodeling or updates to their existing home without having a higher cost second lien thanks to this special FHA loan program. You are not allowed to finance "Luxury items" such as a hot tub or swimming pool through this FHA loan program. Repaint, remodel cabinetry in kitchens and bathrooms, add wallpaper, replace appliances and flooring and even add a room to an existing structure (which will increase the value of the homes square footage). There are many advantages with this...

Florence is know a the Antique Capital of Colorado. The main street is lined with antique shops that take hours and hours to walk threw. You can find dolls, clothes, hats, furniture, knives, clocks, the list goes on and on. And make sure to stop in at the local restaurants - they are awesome! Twenty one houses sold in 2009 that were at least 100 years old. These properties are so much fun, charming and have so much history. Sometimes they have been completely re-rehabilitated and sometimes you need to start from scratch. Some will have all of todays conveniences but most will not. If you are looking for a quiet cute town to relocate to I highly recomment checking Florence out. I relocated to this area in 1999 and have never looked back - this is my home! 100 + year old Homes sold in 200...

One of the best kept secrets in Southern Colorado is Sumo golf village and course. The Gary Player course sits just south of Florence on highway #69, an easy trip from Colorado Springs or Pueblo.   "The world class Gary Player Course at the Sumo Golf Village is as exciting as a course can get. This par 72, 7,200-yard championship course has been built into the high-desert terrain so it takes on the appearance of a Scottish or Irish links course with the Rocky mountains as a backdrop."  There are many building lots still available and houses start in the high $100,000's. Resales on the golf course start at $180,000's. The views of the front range and Wet Mountains are fantastic!

Lark Landing Bed & Breakfast 217 County Rd 119 Florence, CO 81226    (719) 784-3813 More and more I'm getting asked by out of town buyers for recommendations for Bed and Breakfast. Lark Landing is a charming get away in a park like setting right on the Arkansas River. The view from your room is nothing less than breath taking. Watch the river roll by and wait for deer and birds of prey to entertain you.  Barbara Jameson and Mark Clinard are your hostess and host. I spent about two hours with them just enjoying the afternoon. And if you are traveling with your horse accommodations are available. Easy access to Pueblo, Canon City, Colorado Springs and Westcliff. www.larklanding.com  Tell them Dena sent you!

I'm sure the reason the Rocky Mountains aren't called the Forest mountains or the Green Mountains is because they are rocky. If you have ever driven down most any highway in Colorado you have fantastic views and vistas. These views are possible because they aren't blocked by trees.  Maybe one of the few exceptions of the Rocky Mountain template is Locke Mountain in Florence Colorado. Locke Mt is at the base of the mountain ranges in a pocket just north of the Wet mountains. This pocket provides a lush forest unlike most of the area. And nestled in this green mountain covered in pine, cyprus and other indigenous tress is a small gated community.  The smell of the trees on Locke Mt. does remind me of summer camp.  Custom homes on 35-40 acres with just about all the privacy you could wish ...
