I will neither confirm nor deny our actions, the other day… But here are some pictures from our trip to the Manitou Incline. However, before I continue, here are some info on the Manitou Incline: The Manitou Incline used to be a railroad track. The rails are no longer there, but most of the ties are still in place. The average grade is about 40%, and the steepest grade is 68%! The complete hike is 1 mile long and ascends over 2,000 feet in altitude. The first 1/4 of the incline is owned by the City of Colorado Springs and the last 1/4 is owned by the Forest Service. The middle section is PRIVATE PROPERTY and to cross the signs and continue the hike is TRESPASSING … and  ILLEGAL. Here is the 2008 annual housing market data for Manitou Springs. Average Days on Market: The annual 2008 average days on market for the Manitou Springs real estate market averaged at about 104 days. This means that the average home for sale in Manitou Springs sat on the market for about 3 1/2 months before accepting an offer. Just when you might think the holiday festivities are over, here's another annual tradition being held this Saturday in Manitou Springs, Colorado.  This annual event challenges participants to design their own devices to throw that holiday fruitcake further than anyone else. Its beginning to look a lot like Christmas!  We had a good snowfall this weekend which has made everything look very wintry.  Of course, its supposed to be 50 degrees tomorrow - but such is the weather in Colorado Springs. Along the lines of planning family fun this holiday season, the 2008 annual Christmas Parade in Manitou Springs is a few weeks away.  Mark your calenders for December, 13th starting at 12:00 PM.  The parade runs through downtown Manitou Avenue and can be a great tie in to a little Christmas shopping along the quaint shops that can be found in Manitou. Manitou Springs Homes Median Pricing has increased in the last year If all you did was read the headlines in the newspapers, you would think every area in Colorado Springs has seen a huge decrease in housing prices.   Not true!
