Who did they find and who are they calling?  Is the agent qualified?  Is the agent happy in their job?   Is the agent knowledgeable of their area?INTERESTING STORY:  This buyer had their dream and a job transfer.  Found a brokerage, called and reached an agent, who proceeded to (in their words) paint a "bleak" picture of our area.                                                                 After several phone calls and negative assistance they found us and wanted to speak to the broker, not another agent.  Long and short of it..........they came out; we toured; they told me of the agent and then proceeded to say that they tried, yet another agent, who also gave a negative report for the new area they were moving to.  Remember, a JOB TRANSFER, and in the buyer's own words "a sure thi...

We went camping this weekend, not far away, just to Pueblo Reservoir.  What a relaxing weekend! We ended up with a nice long campsite. The website says most of the campsites are 45 feet, including the one we were in, it was a pull thru, but it was quite a bit longer than the stated 45 feet! We put our 35 foot fifth wheel,  Dodge Ram 3500 quad cab and my Expedition and still had enough room for another vehicle on our camp drive. So it was quite a bit longer than just 45 feet!  We had a nice view of the lake and even though all the sites are listed as "No Shade" we had 3 nice shady trees.  The kids had fun at the playground and riding thier bikes along the road that winds through the campground. There weren't a lot of people around so it was nice and quite.  I caught up on some reading and...

A lot of front range people like to visit Pueblo Reservoir on the weekends.  It's not a bad drive from Springs or Denver and there is lots to do.  Now that the exit 108 is open off I-25 most people from up north use it to get to the Res. (A reminder though, Please remember that about 4 miles from I-25 the speed limit drops to 45 because most of the homes in that area have small children and there are several streets that connect to Purcell that you can not see and they can not see you until you are right there! We have an average of 1 accident per week just due to that on this road). However it's a lot faster (even with the 45mph speed limit) than going into Pueblo and hitting hwy 50, plus you don't have all those irratating stop lights! The water levels in Pueblo Res are about 10 foot h...

Pueblo West is located on Hwy 50 West between Pueblo and Canon City.  When I first moved to the far north side of Pueblo West, for as far you could see from our house, there were a total of 5 homes, including ours.  I look out there today and there are so many homes that I can't get an accurate count.  This much growth in just 12 years! There's a new home being built almost every week! Pueblo West has lots to offer  new residents. There's Lake Pueblo State Park right on the edge of Pueblo West. This is a wonderful recreational area!   We have the Horseman's arena, a beautiful 18 hole golf course, parks &  excellent schools!  Pueblo West is a covenant protected community. We have a large volunteer fire department and sheriff's sub-station.   The crime rate in Pueblo West is VERY LOW!12 y...

The Built Green trend is taking over. And whether you buy into the global warming issues or not the trend is taking root. If you have watched T.V. gone to the movies, picked up a newspaper or driven past a car lot you have surely noticed that the world is becoming more conscience of the mark we are leaving behind. The idea of "pay it forward" and preserving our planet for future generations is big right now.                                                                       This Built Green house is being built in the Acres of Pueblo West, Colorado. With thermal mass inside and out, clerestory for natural day lighting, southern orientation, energy efficient appliances, VOC free paint, ceiling fans, site preservation, this is the trend we should all be watching. Look for this building...
