The Black Rock School serves Grades K-6 and is located at 545 Brewster Street in the Black Rock section of Bridgeport, Connecticut.  The teacher and parent involvement in the school is amazing.  One child received a postcard at home from the teacher of his class welcoming him to her classroom in the fall.  He was thrilled to know that his teacher cared enough to contact him during her summer vacation.  Parents are equally involved and have two organizations - one which works directly with the teachers to assist them and another which raises money to improve students' educational experiences. CAL RIPKEN YOUTH DEVELOPMENT PARK The Cal Ripken Senior Foundation will create a 55,000 SF Youth Development Park estimated to cost $1.5 million.
