If you are house hunting in the Greater Danbury area, there should be times after reviewing homes that you have to decide whether you want to try to go for the house with an offer right away, arrange for a 2nd visit, ask questions or pass on the house. If you feel this is the 'one' and would be upset if some one else gets the house before you can try for it by making an offer, I would recommend calling your real estate agent as soon as possible to discuss. Items to include are obvious how much should we start off at, what do you think the house might or should end up selling for, as well as terms and conditions of the sale. Homes in certain prices in the Danbury,CT area selling very quickly from when they hit the market for sale. That price is range generally single family homes from $22...

Not all condos in Danbury,Ct are created equally. With over 5000 built in Danbury and the surrounding towns, there is almost not such thing as a typical condo. It is true that there are several complexes that are quite similar to each other, but there are also a number of different settings, offering a different size, layout or neighborhood environment. Most of Danbury, units where created from the ground up by local developers. Some condos in the area exist because of re-purpose old factories, adding on to a singel family home and converting them or taking former apartment houses are making them into condominiums. Square footage and setup can vary, anything from  offer 400 square feet with a common entrance,up to 3000 square foot plus a finished basement.  Some offers views of Candlewoo...

There are many steps that you should do if you are thinking about selling your home in the Greater Danbury & Candlewood Lake region of western Connecticut. Whether you are looking to sell in the near future or five years from now, here are some general guidelines of how to start the process.1)Sell or donate any items that you no longer need. They will have to be removed one way or another. You might as well do it before the house goes on the market so the house will show larger.2)Address any maintenance issue that you are aware of. For example, loose deck boards, serving the furance or replacing the garage door motor .3)Clean up your landscaping with fresh plants and mulch.4)Most important, don't do anything inside of your house before inviting local real estate professional over to your...

Located only 3 miles southwest of downtown Danbury is the municipal airport. It is a general aviation that has been opened since 1930, way before there was a much of anything going on the western side of Danbury. General aviation flights can range from gliders, parachutes to corporate business jets. In Danbury, I would stay it is mostly small private pilots and occasional business jets. There are no scheduled commercial flights. The approach in and out of the airport appears to be quite challenging, due to the hillside of on three sides and the Danbury Fair mall on the other. Over the years, there has been a couple of unfortunately accidents.  There are several companies located on airport that provide jobs, and the buildings do help with the tax structure in Danbury. Some people might fi...

If you are in the market for a new home, or considering selling your current home in Danbury,CT, it is important to be educated on the market. The biggest trend in the market for at least the past year has been a lack of homes of the market. This is a good thing for sellers, since their home should be able to take a deposit in a reasonable time period and might possibly get into multiple offers leading buyers to potentially pay more than the asking price for their home. The area of the market that typically is expriencing the largest shortage would be single family homes between $200,000 and $300,000. Currently, as of 1/12/2008, there are only 20 homes in that price range available out a total of 99 single family homes on the market, excluding deposits and homes which have contracts. Th...

Did you know that Danbury,Connecticut has over 42 square miles. Due to the large size and wide housing options, your home search can be overwhelming. Wheter you prefer a home near Candlewood Lake, a newer townhome in one of the maintenace free communities, a traditional colonial in a residential neighborhood or a place to start off near the town center, all of these opitons and more would be available to choose from when you are looking to purchase. I can not tell you where you should live since it is your decision and after seeing a few different home choices or types, most buyers tend to become a little bit more focused on one aspect. Even if you limit the choice to just one of these options, there are still sub-areas to explore, each possibility with a number of different homes to tak...

There's only on spot in all of Danbury,Connecticut that has condos directly located on the shoreline of Candlewood Lake. The two complexes are Poet's Landing and Crystal Bay in Danbury. They are located at 10 & 16 Hayestown Road in Danbury. Not only to several of the units offering spectacular views of the lake, the units are also very desired.    Units are typically one story, offering open floor plans, gas heat and central air. Some of the homes have a garage included, otherwise you find be about to buy some at a later date from a neighbor directly. The units typically feature 2 bedrooms, two full bathrooms  and start at about 1400 square feet. Something else to think about is that the city of Danbury zoning regulations will not allow any more condos to be located directly on Candlewo...

As your real estate professional to help you the find the right home, I understand that it takes more than more house hunting trip out to make up our find. It is partiacually true if your price range leaves several neighborhoods open to you or if you are not sure which town in the area that you even want to live in. It takes time to decide what the most important things are for a house, what is willing to be comprised, what style do you prefer for the layout, and more items to consider. I've had only about two or three clients so far in my career buy on the first time out. However, we saw several properties in this price range that day and they never felt pressured to take a decision then and there.  Most of time, it takes at least three or four trips, each seeing four to even houses at...
