THING 21 – Buy a Rock Today is a big day; not only do we gain an extra hour (THING 21.1 – Set Your Watches Back), but there is an extremely exciting event going on in Greenwich. I’m sure you all have heard about it, since it started yesterday, but for those of you who have been living under a rock you can..(wait for it)….buy a rock today at the annual Mineralogical Society Show and Sale. For $6 (children under 12 cost $1) adults can attend the show at the Eastern Greenwich Civic Center (hosted by the Stamford Mineralogical Society) between 10am and 4:30pm. There will be gems, minerals, jewelry, fossils and even a mini-mine! For my money, I’d much rather have a 2 million year old beetle-bug fossil than a flawless diamond, but I’m not sure the wife lady agrees.
