We know shopping for hardwood flooring in Greenwich CT can be challenging.  How do you know what type of hardwood is best for your home?  What's the right color?  How can we find someone we trust to install it.  These are all great questions and ones we can help you answer. We make the process simple...even fun!  We do this by "bringing the store to your door."  That way, you can see the samples in your own lighting.  You'll be able to see the hardwood next to your furniture and paint colors and it just makes it so much easier to find the right color and style.  I've had so many customers comment that this process and guidance is so much better than going to the store.  They love the one on one attention and are pleased to hear that it doesn't cost any extra vs. the store. We take care...

THING 43 – Greenwich’s Reindeer Festival As I mentioned briefly in my blog yesterday, the Reindeer Festival in Greenwich is up and running. As you can tell by the image, Mercedes-Benz of Greenwich is sponsoring the event. On weekdays from noon to 5:30pm (Sat 9-5:30pm and Sunday 9 – 4pm) come on down to McArdle’s Florest and Garden Center (48 Arch Street) to meet Santa and see live reindeer. Reindeer feedings take place at 9am and 4pm. You will also have the opportunity to have your photo taken with the reindeer and the guy in the funny hat.

THING 42 - Train Show & Sale in Old Greenwich I’m sorry, but I can’t find much on this show online. All I know is that there is a Train Show & Sale in the Easter Greenwich Civic Center today and to call 203-637-4583 if you have any questions. I have no clue what time this event is from and no clue what it costs. I think I’m pretty savy at using the internet, but haven’t found much. The event is posted at the Greenwich CT website (see link at bottom), so that’s how I know it’s going on. I’m not even sure if the show is for model trains (pretty certain) or real locomotives. I wish they told me as I’m interested in buying my own locomotive to take into the city every once in awhile. Please feel free to post or contact me if you have any more knowledge about the show. http://greenwichct.vir...

I'm looking for new inexpensive ways to promote my local blog for Greenwich, CT. The blog itself runs on Posterous at www.Greenwich365.com It is then reposted here, Facebook, Twitter, Trulia and LinkedIN. I tried promoting the Facebook page for awhile and have a decent following. Any other ideas on how to get viewers? Do these re-posts kill my SEO & PR? I'm new to this and want to do this right. Ive read so much out there, but can't seem to get hold of it. I appreciate any advice!

THING 41 – Breakfast with Santa in Old Greenwich This morning (Saturday 11/27) the Eastern Greenwich Civic Center will be hosting breakfast, entertainment, and holiday bingo with the jolly old man himself, Santa. Don’t listen to the others that say they have the “real” Santa, he will be here. He flew down from the north pole (private airline as he didn’t want to get searched) early this morning. Tickets will be limited and are not sold at the door. For more information call 203.622.6478 or go to : http://greenwichct.virtualtownhall.net/Public_Documents/GreenwichCT_ParkRec/GreenwichCT_Recreation/programs/Bkfst_w_Santa2010.pdf

Apology for my lame THING TO DO today I wanted to apologize to my followers for giving you a lame THING TO DO today. As you can tell, I’m not a big fan of Black Friday. It just seems like a made up holiday by the big box retailers and a really annoying day to go shopping. I just got a little excited about my website and being able to shop online. There are a ton of fun things to be doing this weekend around Greenwich. Tomorrow I will be talking about Breakfast with Santa (9:30am) on Saturday and Sunday I will be writing about the Train Show and Sale, both at the Eastern Greenwich Civic Center.

THING 40 – Forget shopping in Greenwich, stay at home and shop online   I’m really sorry for using the horrible “CLICK HERE!” button, but I felt that it was appropriate for today. Isn’t today the day when we wake up at 2am to go shopping at Walmart? Isn’t today the day when everything is on sale for like 5% of the full price? Isn’t today some sort of sick shopping holiday? Bahhh humbug I say. Are the deals really that good to drag you out of bed at some un-godly hour? I have no interest in being trampled over by a couple mothers because I accidently got too close to the Tickle Me Elmo 2010 stand. I’m staying at home (I’ll actually be at work, thank you very much) today and will do my shopping online. If you are interested, feel free to use the links on my site (www.Greenwich365.com) to ...

“Thanksgiving, man. Not a good day to be my pants.” -Kevin James “I love Thanksgiving turkey. It’s the only time in Los Angeles that you see natural breasts.” -Arnold Schwarzenegger “There is no sincerer love than the love of food.” -George Bernard Shaw “An optimist is a person who starts a new diet on Thanksgiving Day.” –Irv Kupcinet

THING 39 – Have a wonderful THANKSGIVING! Stephen Colbert: "Thanksgiving is a magical time of year when families across the country join together to raise America's obesity statistics. Personally, I love Thanksgiving traditions: watching football, making pumpkin pie, and saying the magic phrase that sends your aunt storming out of the dining room to sit in her car." Johnny Carson: "Thanksgiving is an emotional holiday. People travel thousands of miles to be with people they only see once a year. And then discover once a year is way too often."

THING 38 - Animal Survival Strategies @ Greenwich’s Bruce Museum I’ve been trying for the last couple minutes to think of a funny way to tie in this topic with the Thanksgiving Turkey’s lack of survival strategy, but have yet to find Funny. Sometimes great humor comes out of my head, but most of the time it’s just junk. I apologize in advance for all of the stupid things I will say in the future. I’m a Discovery and History Channel nut. Give me more of anything that involves construction or wilderness. On the other hand, as a product of today’s television I am fairly jaded when it comes to animal shows as I have pretty much seen everything. I’ll still watch it because I’m a nut, but it takes something special to get me really excited about nature. This exhibition is just that special th...

What do you all think about hosting an open house the Sunday after Thanksgiving? I'm here to work and want to get clients, but don't want to waste my clients (owner's) time to leave their home. Is that Sunday a good day to get buyers to visit?

The right situation is often hard to find, so this may help to save time for both of us.  I am white (although you don't have to be), born in 1966 (although your age is not a criteria for me). I am great shape, entertaining and family are positives and my surroundings are beautiful, clean and well maintained...actually, I just had a facelift and I feel like a million! If you travel a lot, you'll only get support from me, and when you want to be with me, I am warm and inviting. When you need to get away, I get it and it's really easy to get to the Westchester airport, New York City or the Merritt Parkway.  You are professional, neat, caring and like nice things. You may not want to be in a permanent situation, and that is great for me, since it takes time to make a commitment. You're on ...

THING 32 - Circus without the smell www.greenwich365.com There are tons of lectures and presentations throughout the year in Greenwich. One neat series that I found are the Evening Lectures: Under the Big Top at the Bruce Museum. Tonight is the final night of this three part series. I apologize for not giving you much notice. Better late than never, right? “Nov. 18. The Photography of Frederick W. Glasier and the Ringling Circus by Peter Kayafas, Director of Eakins Press Foundation and co-curator of HEYDAY: The Photographs of Frederick W. Glasier at the John and Mable Ringling Museum of Art, Sarasota, Florida.” $10 for non-members and $8 for members. If you have an interest I would recommend contacting the museum (203.869.0376) as space is limited. http://brucemuseum.org/
