from my blog at GreenwichCT.com Japan earthquake and tsunami: How to help By Lili Ladaga lili Ladaga Fri Mar 11, 11:48 am ET Japan was hit by one of the largest earthquakes ever recorded on March 11. The magnitude-9.0 quake spawned a deadly tsunami that slammed into the small island nation, leaving a huge swath of devastation in its wake. Thousands of people are dead and many more are still missing or injured; almost half a million people are homeless. In addition, the country is facing a nuclear crisis that some experts warn may be much worse than the 1979 Three Mile Island disaster. Japan has often donated when other countries have experienced disasters, such as when Hurricane Katrina impacted the United States. Below are organizations that are working on relief and recovery in the re...

I wrote this up at the request of someone that needed content for their website and spent maybe 15 minutes on it. Not my best work. I wasn't that happy with it, but then suddenly it was sent around and put up on like 10 different websites. I gather people liked my frank nature. What do you think? Websites it was on: http://greenwichct.com/real-estate/art-selecting-realtor/ http://blog.raveis.com/2011/03/15/the-art-of-selecting-a-realtor/ http://campaign.r20.constantcontact.com/render?llr=lrkw7ieabv=001cHaZO6NvI5VZUL0DE5xRuAPynm8e2RdWw5m2vsITaLOCOBCvfmMVrAIKI0AWCX06CvHmRQDVTICM9xqnvAS2IuwJgYXOlaLRp7yUv4uRvM%3D *** Find a Realtor that… 10 – Is familiar with the area. from my blog at GreenwichCT.com Tod's Point on March 5th I know that I had this as a thing to do a little while ago, but I couldn’t resist putting it up again. It’s THAT good (and my web page, so I can do what I want).  I took this picture yesterday to show how many dogs and people were out enjoying the beach. The weather was warm, but it was overcast. Just imagine how many people would have been out had it been sunny!  We only have 25 days left until the beach is closed to dogs (March 31st is the last day), so get out there and enjoy! Facebook “LIKE” Button on ActiveRain. .    Here is the scoop on Facebook’s “LIKE” Button and ActiveRain. #1.  On the bottom of each ActiveRain (AR) post there is a like button that you can press. If you do press the like button then that article will appear on your personal Facebook page, not you FAN page. (FAN pages aka LIKE pages or Business Page)          #2. On your Facebook Fan Page you can get an iframe or XFBML code to insert into your ActiveRain post or page that will give you your own personal FB “LIKE” button. THIS CODE WILL NOT WORK ON ACTIVERAIN. This code will also not work on Wordpress.com blogs either. If you have a Wordpress.org blog there are Facebook plug-ins you can use.   #3. So the solution is to copy a picture of the Facebook “like” button onto your ActiveRain acco...

14 Maher SOLD for $1.065M I think this was a great deal. I want to congratulate the buyers for sticking with it and dealing with the bank through this one. As I understand, this was not an easy transaction. At the end of the day, you got a great home. The last time this house traded, it sold for $1.695M (2008). That’s a 37% discount! Yes, the house needs a little work, though at the end of the day you bought a 4 bedroom, 2 bathroom, 2,380 sqft house on Maher Ave that was built like a rock. I forget how high the ceilings are on the first floor, but I’m guessing at least 9.5 feet. This is a real turn-of-the-century. In addition, the top floor and the basement have real build-out potential. Congratulations and welcome to the neighborhood. PS.  Don’t forget to stock up with candy on Hallow...
