DOGS ARE RESPECTED CITIZENS IN NEW FAIRFIELD, CT If I were a dog, I would want to live in New Fairfield, CT, it’s a dog-friendly place. Humans like it too. Most homes have large backyards, where puppies can roam. They are also permitted on our multiple local hiking trails, on a leash. During off-season periods, dogs are even welcome in our Squantz Pond State Park, again on a leash, for beautiful waterfront and beach walks. For untethered socialization, doggies have their own spacious fenced in park in New Fairfield, with two sections: one for smaller dogs, who might be intimidated by the size of their canine buddies, and one for larger varieties.
