Friday Flags A Patriotic Prospect CT DentistGetting back to life in Prospect CT, it was time for a trip to the dentist to get the teeth cleaned.I have been coming to the office for almost 30 years and even wt. a change in ownership there was no question as to the loyalties of the office. It's early spring and that means winds so very little time spent waiting for the perfect shot, unless it's too much wind.As they are only 3 miles from home also helps and hopefully while I still have my own teeth, I will be there at least a couple of times a year. Friday Flags A Patriotic Prospect CT Dentist

First Day of Spring 2024It's the first day of spring, officially called the Spring Equinox.  This means that for the Northern Hemisphere, we will get earlier sunrises, later sunsets, softer winds and the plants will start to bud.  For the purists, it il be 11:06 PM, EST.My yard must have had its dates messed up as my crocuses have a jump start as do the daffodils. This bunch is much larger than it was last yer. I was not aware that they self-propagated like other plants do.The daffodils are anxious to bud, even though we had a relatively mild winter with only 2 snowstorms, albeit they were big.Regardless of the transition time, it will be nice to get some warmer days back home. And for the real estate business, I would guess that this mean the starting flag has been dropped and the race ...

It's Selection Sunday for College BasketballFor college basketball junkies, guilty as charged, this is a day to pay close attention as the playoffs are here. It's one and done time to see who will become the NCAA Champions. It is even more anticipated here in CT as our men's team is the overall #1 team due to the hiccups created by others seeking that position in the conference finals this weekend. Not only is the men's team the overall #1 team, but as defending National Champions, they are also the favorites to repeat as champions. They have had an exceptional year going 30-3, and their path to the Final 4 in Phoenix is through the regionals, starting in Brooklyn, NY and then to Boston and if they win out, it's to the Final 4.Not to be overlooked, even though their past few years have be...

Happy St Patrick's Day 2024 Every year Irish all over the world, and want to bees', celebrate with much enthusiasm the death of the patron saint of Ireland, who died on arch 17. He was rumored to have driven the snake out of Ireland, which would have not been conceivable as there were no snakes in Ireland. As with all days of recognition, it has gotten to be highly commercialized and as my former, very Irish brothers-in-law would say each year as they stayed away from their favorite drinking spots, 'A Day for the Amateurs, much like New Years Eve.As the day is Sunday and just maybe a few people recognizing tomorrow is a workday, there will be lots of revelry and many an adult beverage consumed, some to excess but hopefully, the fun will be remembered.Anyway, for those that will go out to...

I represent taxpayers with tax issues in New Haven, Connecticut as well as all over the country before the IRS, Department of Justice Tax Division and State Departments of Revenue.  The IRS knows there are more than 10 million non-filers and has known who they are for several years now.  Last week the IRS announced the long awaited move against the top 125,000 high-income non-filers is starting. For those who haven't filed their taxes there are a few initial considerations: How many years must they file? Should they just file or should they request Voluntary Disclosure? Compliance with tax regulations goes beyond avoiding penalties; it involves maintaining your filing and payment compliance and working out an arrangement on any back-taxes owed. Submitting tax returns on time is vital—ev...
