Sales/list price ratio in May moved down to 92.8% from 94.2% in April. Prices Median price for homes for sale in Redding, CT of $427,500 in May was down 14.1% from $497,500 in April and down 32.9% from $636,875 in May of 2011. 3-month average sale price of $438,433 in May was down moderately from $475,847 in April and down considerably from $536,766 in May of 2011. Market Time Average for home for sales in the Redding, CT area days on market was148 in May was down somewhat from 183 in April but up considerably from 85 in May of 2011. Are Prices Really Falling in Redding?   Are prices rising or falling in Fairfield County?    Let's just take a look at Redding CT homes for sale.    If we look at the Average Sales Prices from 2002-2012 we definitely see that despite a bump in the market in 2010, sales still seem to be dropping in Redding.  But is looking just at the Average Sales Price deceptive?   In the first quarter of 2012 there have been 9 homes sold in Redding. The average sold price is $470,688. However if you look closely you will see that NONE of those homes that were sold were over $1M. There are certainly homes that sell for over $1M in Redding.
