The Ridgebury area of Ridgefield offers many quality ‘move up’ homes that have been built within the last 15 years by fine local home builders. The Ridgebury area is located in Northern Ridgefield centered around the Ridgefield Golf Course. For students, the area is zoned for Ridgebury Elementary School, Scott’s Ridge Middle School and the Ridgefield High School. For commuters, the area is a natural fit.   Sell Your Ridgefield, CT Home in the Spring?!  Sell your Ridgefield, CT Home in the Spring?!  I have been on quite a few Market Analysis lately where potential sellers have been told that it's better to Sell Your Ridgefield, Ct Home in the Spring?! Some thought that they read it in the newspaper(Is there such a thing as a Newspaper these days?), some were actually told by another Realtor(believe it or not)and some just think that Spring has always been the very best time to sell.  Let's see if we can put some plusses and minuses down and see where we end up. Currently we have the LOWEST INTEREST RATES IN HISTORY.  Interest rates have an inverse relationship with price.  That means that THE LOWER THE INTEREST RATE THE HIGHER THE MARKET PRICE FOR HOMES.  We also know the the Government ...

Getting Your Ridgefield, CT. Home SOLD. Over my 27 years in Real Estate I have heard the same question over and over again. How do I get my home to go from FOR SALE to SOLD? It is indeed the basic question in Real Estate and no matter the market the fundamentals are still the same. To go about Getting Your Ridgefield, CT. home SOLD you need to consider four factors. These factors are location, condition, pricing and commission. LOCATION     Not too much that you can do to offset a challenging location. You can't move it----usually. However, you may need to make a pricing concession to offset it. For example: a 2400 square foot colonial on a quiet Turner Hill cul-de-sac might sell between $450,000- $550,000 while the same home on Route 7 might sell for $350,000-$400,000. CONDITION   Ther...

Located in the Ridgebury district of Ridgefield, CT is the Turner Hill neighborhood. This upscale community of 70 3-5 bedrooms homes sits only 2 minutes south of exit 1 on I-84, which makes it an excellent commuting location.  There is substantial shopping found along Mill Plain Road, only  4 minutes away, and the village of Ridgefield is appropriate 7 minutes away. The Ridgefield golf course is a short distance away. Homes in the Turner Hill neighborhood were constructed by local developer, the Sturges brothers, between 1995-1997 ranging from about 2200-3000 square feet, with some additional space in the basement.  They offer city services (water & sewer), gas heat, central air, attached garages and more.  One of the things make this neighborhood different many other newer homes in th...

Stone Ridge Estates, Ridgefield- Ridgefield is made up mostly of older homes in established neighborhoods.  Still, a number of newer subdivisions featuring much larger, custom-built homes have gone up around town over the last couple of decades, giving higher-end home buyers a reason to consider living in this already desirable town of Ridgefield. In 1967, David Paul developed the 285 unit complex now known as the Casagmo Condominiums Ridgefield, CT. Mr. Paul's idea was to allow people to live in Ridgefield who might not otherwise be able to afford to. With the median home for sale currently at $xxx, xxx, the condos at Casagmo are still an outstanding way to enjoy Ridgefield at a reasonable cost. The ideal customer profile not only includes young people and first time home but old-timers who no longer need or can maintain houses in town. Connecticut Magazine has ranked the town of Ridgefield as having a high quality of life. In the southwest corner of Connecticut is the township of Ridgefield, located in Fairfield County, and is considered my many to be the gateway to New England. Ridgefield is a short commute to New York City, ma...

The Rainbow Lake Expierience: By Brad Kimmelman - Resident & Realtor As a resident of Ridgefield Connecticut’s Rainbow Lake, it astounds me how my life has taken a turn that I could not have dreamed of before purchasing my home on Rainbow Lake. As soon as we put our heads to the pillow on our first night here, we were so sure that we had made the right decision. Upon waking up for the first time, taking the first sip of hot morning coffee, and staring out at the pair of swans followed by their cygnets, we knew we had found a very special place. The first season we experienced on the lake was Autumn. The vibrant colored leaves falling gently on the water and ground was almost too breathtaking for words. Before the snow came, we were invited by the Lakes Association to the annual holiday ...
