Apple Harvest Festival, Southington CT  . . October 4-6, & 11-13   It’s time for the Southington CT Apple Harvest Festival. Closed Southington CT Short Sale Condo A successful Southington CT Condo sold short at 72 Clearview Ct in the Spring Lake Condo complex. The seller had a reverse mortgage and had demonstrated a hardship which allowed the sale to proceed.   Schools are back in session and that means school sports fundraisers are underway.  Wilcox Tech. is wasting no time in kicking off the Wilcox Tech Football Team Car Wash Fundraiser. When my two sons wrestled for the Middletown High School Wrestling Team, I use to do an annual Car Wash Fundraiser for the team.  We would sell tickets the month leading up to the event, and each wrestler would sell at least one book of tickets.  The theory behind my method was that you sell the tickets early enough to make sure no matter how many cars showed up the day of the car wash it was a success. Southington CT Movies at the Drive-in   What can be more representative of a summer than a trip to the drive-on to watch a movie? Although there are not a lot of outdoor theaters still in operation, the Town of Southington CT has taken an opportunity with one of their town owned recreation areas. What was once the site of the Southington Drive-In is a large recreation field for the residents of Southington CT. On Saturday nights from June through October, anyone can drive or walk in and for nominal fee enjoy an outdoor movie. Bring a radio and tune to the station broadcasting the movie for the night. Another Happy Couple Close on Their Plainville CT Home It started from a phone call generated by a blog I did on short sales in Central CT. The buyer wanted to know all about the purchase process and the time it takes. It was a call that lasted longer than an hour. The reality was I was being interviewed as a potential agent to help them make a home purchase. There was More to This Central Connecticut House Than Anyone Thought   We're getting set to close on one of my listings this week, and the owners, who have been in the hosue over 60 years had a lot of packing to get done. I went by to check on the progress and wa very pleasantly surorised to see that they are almost done.
