Art Wall Inspires Another Wallingford Artist The first of November saw local artist Tom Pender’s art display come to a close, but our “Wallingford Inspires…” art wall wasn’t vacant for long! Yesterday we were privileged to welcome the fifth local artist and their work to our wall, Doll Barnes. Doll is a well-known artist in the area whose chosen medium is an unusual one, Paper Sculpture. Wallingford Welcomes 28th Annual Celebrate Wallingford Festival Wallingford's largest festival, the 28th Annual Celebrate Wallingford Festival, is ready to kick off this weekend, October 4th and 5th.   The Hungarian Community Club in Wallingford, CT is inviting everyone to join them in celebrating their Wallingford, CT. Hungarian 2014 Festival.  I go to Church right up the street for the Hungarian Community Club, and this is the first time I recal them having a festival. The Hungarian Community Club Hungarian Festival is and excellent opportunity to experience the Hungarian culture.  Those who attend will enjoy Hungarian food and drink, such as pálinka, a fruit brandy, magyar folk music and dancing, as well as items for sale.  Everything at the festival will also be done bilingually to further enhance the Hungarian culture experience.   Today I had 2014 Summertime MeetUp At Gouveia's Winery & Vineyard Wallingford, CT.  I had 9 ActiveRain Member's show up, and one guest.  I think you will see from the pictures below we had a great time as we always do when we get together.
