We are into mid October and the days are getting shorter and the temperatures are dipping.  We have had our first frost and it won't be long until we start the dreary days of winter.As I walked the fairways this morning, however, there were many distractions with the change of colors on the trees virtually overnight. Even at my area which is only 10 miles away the changes are not as dramatic as we have at the golf course. Enjoy the few shots I was able to capture and still keep up with my group. While we had a very dry summer and many thought the colors would be drab, that s not the case.  Some late September rains may have given us the brilliance we are experiencing. The Colors are Close to Peak in Lower Litchfield County CT    10/16/2016

Just 4 days into the fall equinox and already we are into the early morning chills. At 7 AM as we were on the first tee it was a brisk 44 degrees.  As the sun came out and started to warm away the chills, the residual moisture on the grass and leaves started to shine.   With a careful check some changes are visible amongst all the leaves on the trees.  It won't be long before we are into full fall foliage.  It's predicted that we will have a very cold and snow filled winter.  I can wait until July for that white stuff to fall. It's Fall and the Colors will Appear all Too Soon 09/25/2016

While showing houses for sale in Watertown CT today, I had passed what appeared to be eagles on a hunt.  I let it go until the end of my visits and then came back to them.  It was a group of 3 eagles that appeared to be diving to catch a potential meal.The largest of the 3 eagles had a sign encouraging photos as well as the notation: Eagles Watching Over you." Draped around the eagles head was a chain which had 6 tags attached to it.
