On Saturday July 23, 2011 A group of residents from Lake Bunggee honored Joe Campert the founder of Lake Bunggee. The event was covered by the Norwich Bulletin and a great article was written honoring this event also! State Representative Mike Alberts honored Joe with a special citation on behalf of the State of CT General Assembly. Along with the citation the Residents of Lake Bunggee had a plaque installed on a part of the original Dam that had been set aside for this purpose. It is a lovely community to live in and the residents honored the man who made it possible. In 1955 Joe founded both Lake Bunggee and Witches Woods and residents are very thankful!
