Movie Review - Star Trek (2009) I'm going to have to review a bad movie soon just so everyone doesn't think I am an easy mark. I give Star Trek (2009) 3 thumbs up.  I must admit I didn't expect much when I went to see the movie and was pleasantly surprised.  What I found most appealing about the movie was Zachary Quinto.  Zach is the actor from Heros (the TV show) who plays Sylar.  I didn't know he was in this movie.  Zach plays Spock in this film and boy does he nail it.  His portrayal of the character simply made the whole movie for me.  Sure their was lots of action and some other good acting but Zach was the highlight for me.  With this movie they (Hollywood) have set the stage for a net set of Star Trek movies with this new set of actors.  When I review a movie I don't like to tell...

With everyone going crazy over banks not having enough money to pass out so much credit we sometimes forget to appreciate what we already have. I was just saying to another blogger that wrote a nice blog that maybe this was a chance for people to slow down with their spending and start living within their means for a little while. I also remember looking at the legacy's that have been passed down by generations of families leaving homes as the biggest piece of wealth for most regular working Americans. Those legacy's have been destroyed by people pulling all the equity out and just creating so much debt that they can't even afford it all. The sub-prime market is going down due to bad loan officers placing people in loans that they couldn't afford. If a person loses their job then of course they couldn't afford to pay their bills anymore but if nothing has changed since you originated the loan then the person couldn't afford the loan from the beginning. It is the loan officer's job to analyze the client's potential to pay their bills and if they are good at their job then it will be a piece of cake, but if they are just out for a dollar then of course they will place anyone into anything.
