Seeing a Muskogee Duck in the tree is one of those moments. First of all they have webbed feet, and not talons to grip. Secondly, not the gracious of all feathered friends, as we would expect.   Who Says We Can’t Get Along Wednesday Real Estate Tip of the Day. Since rediscovering my feeder a month ago, I have come to a realization that bird watching, can be both exciting and interactive. What can be learned by studying animal life can tell us a few things as well. At the feeder there is a certain intimidation factor, where on the ground not so much. They seem to have to take turns regardless of the species and some just get chased away period. Parrots if you noticed in this clip come in a flock, and land in a group. There are three on the feeder and five on the ground.  If you ever saw their nest, it is the size that could measure 2’ x 3’ enclosed with a doorway. I swear they also remodel too, for you can see them moving around inside adjusting the twigs.    My tip of the day... 06/27/2012

  Sunday 06/24/12 Shot of the Day in Atlantis, Florida   Back at our nature reserve I call the back yard. I witnessed something  going on that got my attention. Walking by our 12’ slider, I saw this spraying of dirt on the other side of the bank. This of course is separated by a canal of the two properties. Upon closer investigation. I noticed the water turtle burying her eggs.  As I quietly and cautiously walked as close (some 100’ away) as I could she noticed me and immediately slid down the bank back into the water.   When We Sit Above The Crowd We Get A Different Perspective…   Tip Of The Day   We have live here in Atlantis, FL almost five years now enjoying the many treats of nature. As they go about their daily lives surviving just like we need to do. Well today as my wife comes to alert me as she watches one my, as I call them boys fly up onto the screen enclosure. By the way this has never been done in my view for Muskogee ducks usually stay on the ground. Oddly though I have seen where they have built nests on roofs in certain protected areas.   The point of this could be many for height always gives an enlighten view on your situation.   What’s Wrong With This Picture….A Simple Truth… Lately, I am fascinated with my bird feeder since removing a bunch of trees and bushes from the back yard. The activity from morning till dusk is just off the chart needless to say. One thing has really bothered me is the fact of not the birds but the squirrels that plant themselves on the feeder and go to town. In a quest to find a solution I came up with this idea. At first I set the owl on the ground next to the pole, sat and watched the reaction. The chorus from the birds having a fit for 10 minutes was deafening. The squirrels hesitated and knew not to approach this new strange animal. I thought great problem solved. A couple hours go by no squirrels.   Does making it to the Top 20 mean anything on Active Rain???   I recently as of tonight made it to the Top 20 in all of Palm Beach County. I do seem to spend a lot of time here and feel dedicated for  the opportunity to share my thoughts. Even travelling to the back yard can be exciting you love a little nature here and there. It can be quit unpredictable, and fascinating just watching how the wild performs on a regular basis.   Would You Bring This To Your Home, A Day in the Life of A Realtor        I am involved in a short-sale where I seem to have to be a little pro-active in order to secure my own paycheck. I’m not sure if most Realtors would do this and if they did probably would pay someone in hopes of getting it back in saving time.   Something Fishy Happening Here in Atlantis, Florida 6/10/12   In our little end of tropical paradise and nature reserve, I noticed this going on in our canal the past few weeks. These large trout type have pushed out the dirt to perhaps lay eggs or just do what fish like to do. As I was cutting grass today I glanced down to see our little finned friend almost translucent by the bank, so I had to get a shot.       06/10/2012

  To be in the top 200 in Florida, a small milestone. I recently passed the 200 mark (#196) in points of all the active members in the state rankings of Florida. As I continue to rack up points for my own enjoyment, I have notice a lot of agents have stop posting. I realize things change and perhaps the novelty wears a little thin, but to stop completely. One thing I have tried to do is challenge myself to increase points all the while learn as I go too.
