Yesterday we took our daughter and 3 grandsons for a trip to the Rainbow River.  There are beautiful walking trails and waterfalls with gorgeous foliage of various sorts. I love Impatien plants!  They are so beautiful but they need indirect sunlight and plenty of water especially here in Florida, they've found the perfect home near this beautiful waterfall. These Elephant Ear plants are such an intriguing plant.  We're use to trees & plants having significantly smaller leaves but these Elephant Ears are so big and hearty.  There is something so attractive about them. 05/20/2012

I am so spoiled!  I don’t ever remember a February day when I lived in New York being so warm and beautiful.  Today was in the mid to upper 60’s.  We went to Rainbow Spring State Park in Dunnellon Florida  for a Cracker Weekend fair.  Cracker is an expression that has negative connotations in other areas of the Country, but here in Florida the term Cracker refers to the cracking of the whip to round up horses and cattle from the scrubs.
