I had some help while inspecting. This beautiful dragonfly flew up and it seemed like he hung in midair until I could focus my camera and snap this (and a couple other) pictures. The property I was inspecting is on a large freshwater lake which is where these guys begin their life. I looked up the history of the dragonfly and found out they have been here for 300 million years. Their eyes have many lenses, and they can turn their head almost completely around. Their wings can move as many as 28 times per second, with speeds up to 60mph. It was nice of him to pose long enough for me to capture his beauty. 07/24/2010
