"The Heck with Foreclosures and Short Sales, I'm Building a Home in Plantation in Fort Myers."  These were the words of a good friend of mine.  I have to admit, being a Realtor, I was quite shocked by his statement.  For the price, you just cannot beat purchasing a Foreclosure or a Short Sale, but some people are giving up on the chance to save.  When I spoke to him in depth about his decision, he commented that most of the distressed properties were badly abused and dealing with the banks was not worth the hassle.  What are your thoughts?
