Ahhhhh! A sweet vacation at the beach in Florida! There really is nothing like it! But where do you go to find real value these days? Sure you could stay at beach front hotel and pay top dollar or you could venture to a little beach town tucked away right behind St. Pete Beach called GULFPORT! It's an undiscovered GEM!Gulfport is steeped in history and has a charm of what Key West was perhaps 50 years ago. Little bungalows and vacation villas line the streets, each one more colorful than the next. There is a feeling of real community here and it is confirmed by the people you meet. Gulfport has a cornucopia of wonderful little restaurants to try and the food is divine. Whether you crave a cheeseburger at the beach or an italian homemade lasagna, crab cakes, world cusine or perhaps some ...

La Fogata If you want to go somewhere different this is the place. A " Brazilian steakhouse" I had been to Bellini's a few times and really enjoyed it, never made it to their restaurant till last week. I did not know what to expect, I have been in Brazil and I have been to a couple of Steak houses there, so I had my expectations,  but a Brazilian steakhouse in Gulfport Florida run by a German guy? Well, I was open minded about it and I am glad I went. Very refreshing and different dinning experience. Go check it out, it is realty nice and the food is great.

Gulfport has come a long way since I moved to St Pete 14 years ago and it is still moving up and up and up. It is a wonderful little town with lots of creative minds, great restaurants and bars and lots of art stores. As a Realtor I watch all neighborhoods in St Petersburg very closely and next to downtown St Pete, Gulfport has made the biggest step, where Madeira beach for example was a great little fishing town 14 years ago, and still is. Yes, a few changes but nothing major. Different in Gulfport - they made a huge step forward, it is not a "diamond in the rough" anymore, it is a beautiful gem stone now. I am very glad to see all this creativity and enthusiasm. I love to go there in the evening, stroll around, go to some stores, sit outsite have a drink, pick one of the good to upsca...

Help restore Clam Bayou Join the Green Armada, the cities of St. Petersburg and Gulfport, corporate sponsors, and an expected 500 volunteers as they clean up Clam Bayou. The event will take place from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 16, 2007. Thousands of pieces of trash that have been dropped in the streets of St. Petersburg have washed up into Clam Bayou. Register online and get the following items as a show of our appreciation for your support: The first 500 volunteers get a Green Armada t-shirt. The Green Armada will supply supplemental medical insurance at no cost to each volunteer. If you volunteer for the event before this ...

Bellini's, St Petersburg has a fantastic new place to go to GulfportPinellas County, St Petersburg, Gulfport. Bellini's, adding value to our Saint Petersburg area. A new Martini Bar in town. Bellini's is one of the highlights if not the highlight  in our restaurant - bar scene here in St Petersburg. A fantastic place to have some really nice and tasteful Tapas or just have some drinks with your friends. I was impressed ! (and this doesn't happen too often) Impressed with the atmosphere, ambience, service, food, drinks, and location just everything. It is first class all the way. What a great place in the perfect location. I love my beach bars and I love downtown St Pete, but till now I was still missing something. A classy but friendly place that feels cozy but elegant at the same time....
