One of the biggest complaints of buyers and sellers in the real estate business is that their Realtor (or their Realtor's) does not communicate with them enough, an attribute that Realtor's should acquire from day one of setting foot in the business. In essence, some Realtor's have become desolately bitter from the business. It's hard enough to fathom the delinquent acts that have developed into our financial crisis yet the numbers of scams that perpetrators are using are in increasing numbers. The most recent scam alert from the FDIC dated January 7, 2009 states that there are "E-mail[s] Claiming to Be From The Federal Reserve Bank" In the last couple of years, Southeast Florida residents have been victimized by door-to-door 'salesmen'  claiming to be repairmen or utility workers who prey especially on the elderly. I never thought I'd see the day when you could buy a condo in South Florida for under $100K, but here it is.  Now they come a dime a dozen.  I wonder if that is a mixed blessing though?  Keep this in mind, if there are a lot of unit owners in trouble financially with their mortgage companies then there will be plenty of vacant units in distress, which will eventually lower your property value, make it harder for you to sell for a profit in the future, and probably kick up your maintenance bill a notch.  But hey, if you're on a budget and willing to take a chance on the market's future now is the time.  You can actually afford to be a little picky until you find what you want, and believe me, there are plenty of them out there just ripe for the picking.

I have a lovely couple who wanted me to show them beachfront condo property. Once we met at the property I noticed that they had a dog. We were having small talk conversation while waiting for the gate keys to enter the premises from the seller. I didn't say much about the dog because we were just going to view a condo unit on the first floor which had the windows open; the unit is a furnished efficiency facing the ocean so there wasn't much time to take to see a one room unit. A prospective tenant calls me today telling me that she found me on my blog at ActiveRain. Of couse, I always get delighted when consumers find me through my blogs.
