Wow, has it really been 46 years since the Apollo 11 mission?July 20th, 1969, Apollo 11 was the spaceflight that took Neil Armstrong, Buzz Aldrin, and Michael Collins (yes there were three astronauts) to the moon. This day marked the first steps by humans on the Moon.At 4:18 p.m. the lunar module landed in the Sea of Tranquility. At 10:39 p.m. Neil Armstrong opened the hatch on the lunar module.  At 10:56 p.m. Neil Armstrong spoke his famous quote "that's one small step for a man, one giant leap for mankind."  At 11:11 p.m. Buzz Aldrin joined Neil Armstrong.Looking back on this, I've always felt bad for Michael Collins. Everyone remembers Armstrong and Aldrin, but everyone seems to forget to mention the person that remained in orbit while they landed on the moon.  07/19/2015

Today celebrates the adoption of the Declaration of Independence and one of our families favorite holidays!                              What are your plans to celebrate Independence Day? Ours is a parade first thing this morning and then this evening we will be off to one of our many fireworks displays!   Do you have a favorite family tradition? Ours is watching fireworks. Highlands at Carolinas Home sold. It's always a good day when you're able to tell your Seller that we've got a contract on your home after only 3 days on the market and it closes in less than 30 days. I loved my Sellers.
