Hemingway's Tavern is a fun watering hole located next to the Premier Oaks Theater in Melbourne. As the name implies, Hemingway's Tavern is a nod to one of Key West's most famous residents Ernest Hemingway. The decor at Hemingway's Tavern is pure Key West through and through, all the way down to the live feed of the Southernmost Point from Key West on the flat screen TV's. In 2015 the Brevard Zoo welcomed 2  zebras to the zoo named Iggy and Zonka. These two animals share their enclosure with three white rhinos. The French company, Thales Group (pronounced "tal is" group), announced this week that they will be expanding their operations on the Space Coast instead of a California location which was also under consideration. This will bring in 327 new jobs to the Melbourne location with an average salary of over $64,000 per year. These positions will be in addition to the 240 positions that Thales Group currently has in place now. Thales Group will move to the former DRS Tactical location at 1110 W Hibiscus Ave near the Melbourne International Airport. This addition is expected to add more than $20 million in development dollars for the Melbourne area. Northrop Grumman has been awarded the coveted Project Magellan contract over competitors Boeing and Lockheed Martin.  OK...so I must admit up front...I really like the Mansion in Melbourne, FL. They are a little bit different ...and they know it!This place sort of seems like a bunch of bars, restaurants, deli, and wine store all wrapped together...and it works!
