It seems that every area of the Country has numerous events for running or walking. The largest and most important here on the Space Coast is probably the Melbourne Music Marathon Weekend. We have two full days worth of events including 5k and 8k runs, a kids run, a half marathon, a half marathon relay...and of course a full 26.2 mile marathon. I love taking buyers out and showing them homes; helping them find a home that suits both their wants and their needs. To me it can be a juggling act. I need about 4 more hands to hold all of the things that I  have with me when I walk inside to show a property.  Now, I know there are many REALTORS out there that are in the same boat that I'm in. If I wear clothes without the right amount of pockets that day, I'm really in a pickle. I love tempura, yet I find that it isn't often made well.  Here is a great recipe to make it at home!                                               Shrimp Tempura Ingredients 3 quarts vegetable or peanut oil 1 1/2 lbs colossal shrimp peeled, deveined, tails left on. 1 1/2 cups flour 1/2 cup cornstarch 2 teaspoons shichimi (7 flavor Japanese chili pepper) 1 large egg 1 cup vodka 1 cup seltzer water or club soda kosher salt to taste Directions Preheat oven to 200F. Add vegetable oil to dutch oven, and heat oil over high heat to 385F. Use a clip-on candy thermometer to check temperature. While the oil is heating, whisk together flour, shichimi, and cornstarch in a large bowl. Whisk egg and vodka together in a second bowl, then whisk in the seltzer water into the egg mixture.   This is a question that I have heard from people throughout my 20+ years in the real estate business.  I will run through some of the biggest problem for this.   Your price is too high This is the most common reason that a property does not sell.  The reasons for setting the selling price too high are many: an over-enthusiastic listing agentunrealistic seller expectationsI “need the money”My neighbors home sold for $XXX,XXX.etc, etc, etc.  Regardless of the reason, if you've priced your property too high, you will have problems selling...period.  Even if you are lucky enough to get an offer you have to contend with the property not appraising or the buyer being denied financing.  If you price your property too high, you won't have many showings.  And rememberfewer showings = fewer off...

Embraer, the forth largest builder of Jets in the World is expanding on the Space Coast...and they are bringing 600 new jobs along with them. Embraer, the large Brazilian based Jet maker, plans to open a 250,000sqft assembly plant at the Melbourne International Airport in Melbourne, FL The plan is to build the Legacy 450 and 500 executive Jets. Embraer already has over 250 full time employees in the Melbourne area Embraer also plans on opening an Engineering and Technology Center. It is schedule to open in the first half of 2014. The center, when staffed, calls for another 200 full time engineers. This is great news for all the available high tech talent available on the Space Coast since the scaling back of the rocket programs at NASA and the Cape.

When a house goes up for sale, should the personal family photos stay in the house or should they be put away before the sign goes up? I have mixed feelings on family photos. My response would be that it depends on the pictures, how many, their location, etc. Maybe as a seller this thought has never entered your mind.  Put my family photos away to sell your own home...what do you mean?  Why? Our average demographic would be much older than the national average...and we (because we all own our businesses) must fight to find decent priced health care.  In short: We should be poster children for Obamacare! My nightmare all started two days before the October sign on started.
