This pool(s) is at the Setai. Part hotel part condos this is a newer addition to South Beach. In the early 2000's when this Asian influenced building was being sold pre-construction I remember saying to myself " this is where I want to live!" The total Zen flows from the lobby through the restaurant and out to the three pools. Yes three, one is set @75 degrees the next @ 80 and finally "mine" @ 90 degrees. Sunrise @the Setai (the ocean is just past the pavillion)Sunset @ the Setai pool

At Absolut Miami Lofts you have two choices: penthouse or garden. “But you can't go wrong with either,” says Josh Stein. Both floor plans boast 18-foot ceilings and spacious layouts. And both are located along Michigan Avenue where the best of South Beach doubles as your backyard. Choose the garden lofts and you'll get your own garden or yard with a private entrance from the street — coveted green space in a packed district. But go with the penthouse option and you'll score your own terrace on an upper floor with unparalleled views. All residents can take advantage of a heated pool and indoor parking on site. Inside either unit, you'll find a split-level floor plan. In the kitchen, granite countertops compliment stainless-steel appliances and a European design. Floor-to-ceiling windows ...

The National Hotel features another of my favorite pools. The Art Deco hotel originally built in 1939 has a pool that stretches from the terrace almost all the way to the ocean. Dotted with semi-private cabanas along the way and a great bar at the ends. Day or night it is a real stunner.

The classic and super trendy Delano hotel in Miami Beach sports a gorgeous pool with very sensual surrounds. This historic hotel dates back to the 40's but was re-imagined by Ian Shrager of Studio 54 fame back in 1995.The design at first may just appear as a long rectangle but in this photo you can see that the table and chairs are in the water. This is about 2 inches deep so guests can lay in the water and sun without having to use a float. The water also just covers your ears and there is soothing music piped in underwater so it just "takes you away".As a personal reference I was served a piece of my 40th birthday cake at that little table-where does the time go!?!

My favorite pool in Miami Beach. As far as Iconic/historic pools are concerned anyway. This is right from the 1940's classic hotel The Raleigh, now owned by Tommy Hilfiger himself. He has big plans for the place and is readying plans for a private club addition to the hotel with lots of cool stuff.

If you haven't been down to the Art Deco district of Miami in awhile, some new restaurants have opened up that are worth checking out. If you're a single woman sitting at a bar, how would you like to look up and eye a meat hook as the chandelier? That's what you will see at the acclaimed Manhattan restaurant Quality Meats, which opened its doors in February at the South Beach district of Miami in the setting of the historic Art Deco building which once housed the Bancroft hotel at 1501 Collins. The designer has uniquely utilized the existing hotel features: the original check-in desk is a butcher counter and the reception desk a service bar. Co-owner Michael Stillman collaborated with AvroKO to create a "stripped down Art Deco atmosphere" in the eatery, which includes the aforemention...

Art Deco Gem in Miami Beach    This incredible Art Deco house was designed by architect Robert E. Collins in 1937, he also designed theTower Theatre in Little Havana and the Cameo Theatre in Miami Beach. Collins was a specialist in designing movie theaters it turns out, which may explain why the house does have a very theatrical flair to it. Enter through the front door and directly in front of you is the semicircular solarium with french doors that reveal the garden statue. This home is a restored Miami Beach Art Deco treasure, from the gleaming terrazzo floors to the walls of glass blocks and sensual curves. How would you like to wake up in the bedroom pictured below? Located just a few blocked to famed Lincoln Road  where you have shopping restaurants and entertainment galore! Listed...

Pershing boats and yachts have always caught my attention immediately even in a crowded marina. I have fantasized about being behind the wheel of on from the first time I saw one in Monte Carlo decades ago. There sleek hull and silver/platinum paint are show stoppers but alas I realize there will never be one at my dock.Well think again! NOW here in Miami the fine folks @Miami Yacht Sales are renting them! Yes rent-a-yacht has arrived. Daily weekly or however long you wish-your dreamboat has sailed in!I am very partial to the Pershing 62 footer pictured above but they do have bigger and some smaller as well. The 74 is below and so so sexy! Oh Barbara T............

So, what is a pocket listing? Essentially, it’s a private, “off-market” listing. Instead of putting the property in our MLS database (the Multiple Listing Service), the agent restricts access to information about the property to their buyer clients or different colleagues.Pocket listings usually come into play in the super luxury market where sellers have many reasons for not allowing a traditional listing or exposure. For most properties, I don’t believe pocket listings are a good option. If you are going to sell the property and want a creative strategy to do it, there are many other options than pocket listings. Why do sellers consider pocket listings when selling Miami Beach Home? There are many reasons, but here are a few of the most common.1. The sellers may not be 100% ready and mot...

Staging 101 will be one way to get top dollar for your Miami Beach home if you are thinking about selling in today’s market. The key is to do everything possible in advance to listing and staging is one way to accomplish this task and the best thing is, it doesn’t have to cost a fortune. Although the Miami Beach real estate market is good for sellers today, staging the property correctly is still critical. Two important parts of staging your Miami Beach Home are: The amount of lights Interior colors Bright, well-lit homes seem more spacious and more inviting. During showings, all the curtains should be open, and all of the lamps should be on, even during the day.The photos below are an excellent example of a unit with nice bright colors and lots of lights.
