WHAT TO DO WITH YOUR CHRISTMAS TREES AT THE CHARTER CLUB in MIAMI?  The best way would be to plant the Christmas Tree in your backyard, that is if you purchased one in a pot. But if not and you don’t have a back yard, don’t panic and don't toss the tree over your balcony or leave it in the trash room.   The Charter Club on the Bay condominium in Miami provided a safe, efficient and ecologicaly-friendly way for its residents to dispose of seasonal Christmas trees.  Residents are encouraged to contact the managemet office by phone or email to coordinate pick up of Christmas Trees by its building staff (please see attached flyer).         To find out more about The Charter Club on The Bay, consultwitholga@gmail.com  Happy New Year!

Investors are continuing to recognize the growing value of Miami properties as buyers flock to one of the latest waterfront condominiums to hit the market. Elysee Miami, at 700 N.E. 23rd St. in the Edgewater neighborhood, has been quietly selling some of its units in the 57-floor tower expected to begin construction in April. According to an article in The Real Deal, developers say sales are already showing the great promise for luxury condominiums in this part of the city. From the report: So far, “whisper campaign” pre-sales for Elysee have been better than expected, Boren told TRD, declining to provide figures. Nearby, the developers’ Biscayne Beach, a 52-story, 399-unit tower on the bay on Northeast 30th Street, is now 98 percent sold, he said. Construction is up to the 34th floor, ...

Tibor Hollo is in his mid-80s, he's a Holocaust survivor and he's one of the most successful real estate developers in the history of Miami. According to a 2009 profile of Hollo in the Miami New Times, Hollo has been as influential in creating a downtown urban core as anyone else. In fact, there were moments during the '50s and '60s that it was ridiculous to think that there would be much, if any, development south of the Miami River. When Hollo proposed a tunnel under the river to connect with Brickell, he said, "those sons of bitches laughed me out of the room." Of course, to look at the city now is to see his vision alive. Brickell is the most dynamic neighborhood in the City of Miami — and it's only getting bigger. Miami's financial district is now the standard-bearer of urban livin...

Unity on the Bay, the large all inclusive church in Edgewater with a fantastic waterfront piece of real estate wants to sell most of its parking lot. At one point the church was in talks with two developers to purchase about two-thirds of the congregation's large surface parking lot along 22nd Street. Both, however, have dropped out of talks, and now Unity's looking for a new deep-pocketed developer for the parcel. This is across the side street (NE 22 ST) from Paramount Bay (glass building in back ground). For those that may remember the movie "All About Mary" with Cameron Diaz and Ben Stiller, this building sits on the site of where the historic mansion was that Mary lived in. It was supposed to be saved but something like a giant crane accidentally fell on it during constructio...
