Craig grows Orchids. This is one of my favorites because it always blooms around Easter and it is Easter colors. I don't know the name of it; it was given to us by a customer who was moving back "up north" and couldn't take the orchids with her. I just love the way it looks. We have another bloom that is going to open up soon on the same plant. If anyone knows the name, please let me know. The Chasco Fiesta Bowling Tournament sponsored by The Young Professionals Group of the West Pasco Chamber of Commerce was held on March 24. Julie Rogers of Progressive Air Systems was the Chairperson and did a wonderful job. The event was a great success and we all had so much fun. There were 148 bowlers. We made $2900. for SPCA Suncoast, Lighthouse for the Blind, and American Cancer Society The winning team was the Dry Me Out Team AKA: Advanced Restoration Services. Hidden Lake Estates, New Port Richey, Florida's Airport Community Hidden Lake Estates is a privately owned & operated airport Airport community ~25 miles north of Tampa developed in 1970 on 400 acres.  The original plans were to include a golf course as well, but that failed to materialize.  Hidden Lake Estates is just south of Golden Acres Estates and northeast of Gulf Harbors There are ~150 homes with direct runway access in Hidden Lake Estates.  Since the streets are used to taxi to the runway, the county refused to own the roads.   Too much liability.  Planes have the right of way and you should pull your car into the nearest driveway if you encounter a plane while in the community. New Homeowner Relief announced yesterday 3/26/2010 The White House announced another initiative to quell the tide of foreclosures.   While I wholeheartedly disagree with it over my conservative principles, it is out there if you need the help.   If you are unemployed you can get your mortgage reduced as well as the payment reduced for a short time.   It seems all Upside-down homeowners may also refinance into an FHA mortgage, and the new mortgage will be limited to 115% of the homes current value.  Leaving the public to cover the remainder of the previous mortgage(s) You can read about it at Fox News, Reuters, or any other reliable news source   03/27/2010

Gulf Harbors, New Port Richey, Florida Waterfront subdivision Market Report Feb 2010 Only 4 sales in the Gulf Harbors Gulf Access Waterfront Community in February 2010.  While not a stellar showing, considering current market conditions, and how some waterfront communities had ZERO sales in February, things are not so bad in Gulf Harbors.  The community with its own private beach may have 20+ months inventory, but at least some of the properties are moving. This was another community you could not realistically get into for under $300,000 before the market collapse.  Looking below, you can see Active's range from $95,000 to $1,390,000.  However the price range on properties under Contract is only $149,900 to $289,000.    Whereas The price range for sold properties is $80,000 all the way... 03/20/2010

February 2010 Market Report for New Port Richey, Florida Sales are way down.  Back in January's report there were actually more solds with less Active's, as well as less units under contract.  I would not make too much out of this yet, considering the weather and the economies combined affects.  But if this continues and becomes a trend it is not a good sign, so hopefully it is an anomaly.  The one thing that has remained constant is that New Port Richey still accounts for, roughly, one third of all West Pasco County Home Sales   Good news is the trends are still the same in the above chart.  I say that in regards to the breakdowns of Distressed properties compared to Normal properties.  Compared to January's report there was a bit of a change in the spreads but no dramatic change in th... 03/17/2010

Golden Acres, New Port Richey, Florida Distressed Real Estate Property Report Well the Sad month of February saw no Sales in Golden Acres.  While there are some propeties under contract, there we no closings.  Good news though is there are only 28 homes for sale with 4 homes under contract.  There is not much inventory, but it is being held up by Distressed properties.
