In Palm Beach there is a law called "the ocean view law" under this law the growth of the beach vegetation is restricted to a 30 inches high and it get trimmed down if it exceed the 30 inches in order to keep ocean views unobstructed. Florida department of environmental protection requires that the height of "sea grape" vegitation should be maintained at least 6 feet in order to prevent sea turtles being disoriented by street lights while hatching eggs on the beaches.
