Another one bites the dust - Goodbye Sam Seltzer's Steakhouse Port Richey Florida Well another on  bites the dust in a long string of major failures.  Now I do not think this Port Richey restaurant failure was as surprising as our Outback Steakhouse, however, that being said the entire chain has folded, so in that way it is worse.   Sam Seltzers's Steakhouse was located in the Gulfview Mall right next to the Linen & things that already went under as well as the Buffalo Wild Wings.  And the mall is adjacent to a strip mall where Target failed.  Just a quarter mile to the north was the Outback that failed, and why don't I throw in the Carvel too.  And just north of them was 1 of a chain of 3 Jeannie's Restaurants, also closed.  And yet KFC, Taco Bell & McDonalds are either expanding or re... 05/19/2010

Port Richey, FL - The Deaf and Hard of Hearing Services of Florida will be holding a fundraiser on June 24. Jeff Thomas, Executive Director and his staff do excellent work in the local community helping the hearing impaired and their families cope with the reality of hearing loss. They cannot continue to do this effectively without the community's support. Please keep your calendars open for this great event. Suncoast Ford Mitsubishi-Port Richey, FL Dog and Pony Show benefits the SPCA Suncoast, New Port Richey. On Saturday May 15, Suncoast Ford held  it's 1st Annual Dog and Pony Show. The show was to present the new 2011 Mustang. That was the pony part. Jeff Kasan of Suncoast Ford Mitsubishi invited the SPCA Suncoast of New Port Richey to bring some of their adoptable dogs. Now, you're getting it: that was the dog part. The Mustang Club also brought all their mustangs and other cars.  Donated pet food was the price of entry. Being SPCA volunteers, we were there helping with the dogs & info. TJ Maxx comes to Gulfview Square Mall in Port Richey, Florida It is scheduled to Open May 20th 2010. It is located in the front of the Mall adjacent to Best Buy, in the location formerly occupied by Bed, Bath & Beyond. Hooter's Restaurant-Port Richey-  Recently we attended a West Pasco Chamber of Commerce Ambassador Lunch at Hooter's Restaurant. It was a bright, sunny day and the view was just beautiful as you can see. There was a Red Hat luncheon going on too; these ladies are from the New Port Richey Happy Hacienda Hatters club. And, by happy chance, one of their guests is a family member of ours, Mildred King. There were some visitors from the frozen north sitting on the dock, enjoying our lovely weather.                                  02/25/2010

Port Richey, Florida. There are always Wood Storks on this tree in the middle of a pond behind a shopping center in Port Richey. Sometimes there are many more than now but that's in the summer when the tree is covered with leaves so you can't see them as easily. I think they look like giant flowers. 02/23/2010
