Blueberry Wine Can Provide Potential Health Benefits Blueberry wine can provide more potentially healthy compounds than white wines and many red wines, according to a new University of Florida study. Tampa Active 55+ Adults Researchers with UF’s Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences measured antioxidant content in a Florida-produced blueberry wine and compared it to published reports of antioxidant content in white and red wines made from grapes. Antioxidants are compounds that may offer cells protection from damaging molecules called free radicals. I wrote a blog the other day showing the rats nest and chew marks on the duct work in the attic of a recent inspection. The great thing about inspecting a home like this is it gives you plenty of stuff to blog about. But that's about it, sometimes I shake my head when I come across a home that is older and is in poor condition. I try to put myself in their place and try to figure out what it is that makes them excited about the possibility of owning it.   Here, it is obvious where the little critters are getting in the attic. The soffit on the overhang on the back porch has sagged well below the facia board... instant access! It has rotted and the nails that hold it up pulled right through it. 6th Annual Tampa Bay Blueberry Festival The Plant City area (E. of Tampa) is synonymous with great strawberries, but they are not the only berries on the block.
