It is so funny when people from New York move here because they can not believe people leave their doors unlocked around here. Of course, we would never recommend you to do this even if you are safe. The winters are great here because we open up our doors and windows to get that cool winter breeze flowing through our home. Here in Wellington Florida we get a lot of visitors:) Our son calls me to the front door, "Mommy, we have a visitor!" Such simple things in life yet so intricate in nature. Villagewalk- Wellington Florida is located on the eastern border of Wellington Florida. It is a town that is self contained within the Village of Wellington.   One of the sellers in Village Walk was telling me that after Hurricane Wilma came through several years ago and we were all without power for 21 days and more there were people trying to get into their community to get gas at the Village Walk gas station. The gas station in the Villagewalk community rationed out the gas to residents of the community for their generators. The sunset falls in the western skies over the sugar cane and corn fields to the west of our town of Wellington Florida.  My eyes look toward the sky as dusk begins to form in wonder of the majesty of it all. Sunsets remind me of my mother. She loved the sunsets more than sunrises since she was nocturnal like me. Winston Churchill once said, "If God wanted me to see the sunrise he would have made it at noon." There are many things that remind me of my mother. Like whenever I visit the blogs of my friends in Hawaii. My mother loved Hawaii. So vivid in my memory is the one time that she was able to take just me, her oldest daughter, on a trip to Hawaii where we stayed for a couple of months. The Wellington Florida PEC homeschool support group meets monthly together to offer support to homeschool families. While the adults enjoy friendshipping and sharing their triumphs and frustrations of homeschooling their children, the kids play on the playground and play games together. It gives parents a boost to be able to meet monthly especially for those who are new to homeschooling. In the last meeting we had I met 3 moms who had pulled their children out of public school at the end of the winter break. 2 of the moms had boys that were told they had ADHD and insisted on having their young sons put on drugs. Olympia- Wellington Fl Homes For Sale. Currently there are 74 Homes for sale in Olympia- Wellington Fl, a subdivision in Wellington Florida. Out of those 74 homes for sale, 40 of them are Short Sales in Olympia and only 2 are bank owned. That means that over half of the listings in Olympia are short sales.   Last year around this time there were over 100 homes for sale in the Olympia subdivision so the inventory has gone down. We had a great turnout here in Wellington Florida as well as throughout the entire southeastern states of the United States for our 2009 Day Of Service project. Here in our Wellington area we had hundreds of people helping to glean the corn fields and give all that corn to the local area food banks. We repaired a grandmothers leaking roof which I posted about here. Our members also built a wheel chair ramp for a family with a boy in a wheel chair. All across the states there were volunteers building houses for Habitat for Humanity, cleaning and refinishing schools and communities. I wrote a post about the Polo pony tragedy right here in our town of Wellington Florida where during the U.S. Polo Open Tournament, Venezuelan Victor Vargas' team's polo ponies from the Lechuza Caracas ranch died suddenly.Victor Vargas lives in Palm Beach and Venezuela and is a banker in Venezuela. The investigation is still ongoing however the preliminary results are in. A pharmaceutical company in Ocala Florida mixed the ingredients for a medication incorrectly. This is the cause of death of all 21 of the polo horses that happened suddenly right before the tournament. The strength of the medication was wrong. The company did not discuss whose fault this was.
