Call me old fashion, but I still get the Palm Beach post delivered every day.  I enjoy reading it with my morning coffee.  Lately I have noticed a lot more mortgage companies advertising all over the paper from Sports to Local and of course the Business Section.  From running a Mortgage Company, I know this is a very expensive form of advertising.  Not that the Palm Beach Post is over priced but larger newspapers in general, print advertising is expensive.  Which brings me to the reason for this post.  Many of these advertisements claim "No Closing Costs", "Free Appraisal"  I have to tell you the last time I checked, people who work expect to get paid.  I believe donating your time to a charity is a marvelous thing however, originating loans is not a charity. Ok so I am a proud Dad.  Yesterday (5/21/2007) My son Graduated from Pre-School in West Palm Beach.  It was a great ceremony with the children wearing cap and gown.  The school did a great video at the end that showed all the children throughout the year.  With the parents supplying pictures of the children when they where babies and what they look like now.   His school really out did them selves with this event.  I have mixed emotions it was nice to see him graduate but I also realize he is now moving on to real school.  He is know longer a little boy.
