This is a good sign - in our market it seemed like October there were very few buyers out looking, with it improving in December and January.  Now that the latest NAHB/Wells Fargo Housing Market Index (HMI) has been released it reveals what I thought, that January was better than December.  The index is just coming off its all time low but at least moving up is good.  Basically, the builders are reporting seeing more people looking at their homes - sales will follow activity.  Sandy Dunn, the 2008 president of the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) said  builders remain cautious about the outlook for new-home sales market with today's economic environment, the fact that more consumers are checking out their options is a good sign.I think buyers are sitting on the sidelines wai...

I do a lot of research on Atlanta real estate, and it is very time consuming and cumbersome to break down the Atlanta home sales numbers for so many different areas around Atlanta.  I came across this site this evening that was actually very good for finding out Atlanta real estate trends, days on market, prices of recent sold homes, price per square foot and more.  I was very impressed with the tool, and thought it worthy of sharing. Alpharetta Georgia is a great place to live in North Fulton county. The city name Alpharetta is also believed to have been derived from the first letter of the Greek alphabet. Echelon is a wonderful golf development in South Eastern Cherokee County and North Fulton County Georgia. the name speaks for itself with luxury homes starting at One million and they go up from there. I have been inside this neighborhood several times and it has a stately feel to it, but it also feels secluded. the golf course looks like it could be pretty tough, although I have never played the course.
