Today NAR released information I watch pretty closely - the national median home price was up 9.5% from year ago levels.  That is great news.  The biggest issue right now in Cumming and Alpharetta is lack of inventory.  As prices rise more people can, or will, be willing to put their homes on the market.  Naturally, that is a national average.  Locally this is what I see: In September 2011 there were 218 sales in Forsyth County for an average sales price of $244K.
