We have 31 additional homes are under contract   We had 20 closed sales in December, 14 were foreclosures.   The highest sale price was $329,000. It was a river home at 445 River Trail.   The lowest sale price was $26,000. It was a old house located at 881 Grindle Brothers Road.   Sun Trust sold The Summit, they had 27 new two bedroom two bath condo's and over 90 acres of land. It is a common misconception that you can not get a loan on a mobile home with vinyl skirting. Most people will tell you that the vinyl will need to be replaced with block. While it is true that if the buyer is getting a FHA loan it will need one or at least what is called a H wall behind the vinyl. You will need to check with the lender to determine the minimum requirements. If the buyer is putting 20% down and getting a conventional loan you can get buy with the vinyl skirting. I just closed this one at 51 Shady Oaks Landing in Dahlonega Ga. on 12/10/2010. Wells Fargo did the loan. Remember to allow extra time in underwriting. The beautiful Appalachian mountains are filled with trees and wildlife that make up it's rich forest.  As with many facets of our environment, the Appalachian trees are in danger due to pollution and environmental changes.  The woolly adelgid is an insect that is a direct threat to our Hemlock Trees in the North Georgia region. The air pollution and climate over time weakens these protective trees and leaves then vulnerable to disease and bugs. Scientist have concluded that beetles are proving to be most helpful in the fight against damaging insects to our Hemlocks.  The University of Georgia, Young Harris College and North Georgia Colleges, Predator Beetle Lab at NGCSU have joined forces with other states to continue beetle growth and new methods to save our trees. While cleaning out a stack of old magazines' yesterday, I came across a June 2009 issue of Southern Living Magazine.  It was a lazy Sunday and this edition was full of great missed recipes, so I decided to flip through...
