   Wordless Wednesday - Midtown Brass Ensemble   Last Thursday night The Midtwon Brass Ensemble under the sponsorship of the Johns Creek Symphony Orchestra and a Arts Grant performed at Park Place Active Adult Center for us Boomers and Seniors. They were excellent but we had to open both sets of french doors to let some of the wonderful music out to others in the park to enjoy.  This is one way to enjoy retirement without spending a lot. 04/16/2014

North Fulton Golden Games - Active Adults May 1st - 22nd, 2014 I just received my registration form for the 20th Annual North Fulton Golden Games. These games provide adults fifty and older an opportunity to participate in a variety of sports competitions, meet new people, learn new leisure skills and become more aware of the recreational activities available to them.  That's what the brochures says and I can attest to that being true, having participated in these games last year. I am a member of the Johns Creek Adult Center (a type of senior center) where I play Bocce Ball two times a week. Last year we entered the Golden Games with two teams in the beginner category and my team won the gold medal (you may remember me bragging about that). Wordless Wednesday - Dog Park Last Friday at the Dog Park while visiting Park Place senior center my brother and I stopped to take a look at all the activity.  Here are a couple of rather large dogs that were not too active. The small ones were running around chasing balls and having a great time. 2013 Johns Creek GA Founders Day Celebrations In December 2006 our city changed it's name from Alpharetta to Johns Creek. Actually we were in the unincorporated area of North Fulton County GA and called ourselves Alpharetta because we used that post office address. Living in an unincorporated area of the county is the worst case because you pay the taxes but have no representation. Well the people in this area had enough of that and formed our own city, the city of Johns Creek Georgia.
