OK I know it is no longer Wordless Wednesday but I don't have my blog post done yet for today and it's already 9:30pm, so here it goes with some photos from tonight. 9:30pm is when you get home from a party ... from the senior center. Sorry, Active Adult Center. Tonight we had our evening dinner party with a 1950's theme. Guess who I went as? Look to the right and I am pretty sure you will say Elvis. I had the hair, the gold glasses, the shirt and the gold jacket. I had the pants too but decided that was a little much and went with good ole blue jeans instead. I am in charge of entertainment and gave a little update talk and even worked in a "Thank you, thank you very much" with upper lip quivering a bit.   Brookhaven at Johns Creek, a 55+ Community in Johns Creek Georgia I stopped by Brookhaven at Johns Creek, a 55+ community in North Fulton county in the Atlanta area yesterday to check on the status of things since my visit a year and a half ago.  This is developed by Jim Chapman Communities.  I was surprised to see the community is really going stronger than I imagined. The above picture is the sales office which was jumping and all the parking places taken in the middle of the morning.  The manager quickly told me that there was a waiting list for presales which would not be ready until about July or August of next year. A little over two years ago, Park Place in Johns Creek Georgia, an active adult center, opened in an historic renovated school house.  Park Place has become a very active center of activities for seniors age 62 and better.  These days it's a bustling place with seniors coming in for all types of activities and programs from games, courses, exercise and even a popular evening dinner club with entertainment once a month.  Seniors are greeted at Park Place with interesting and changing decorations of the center.  Maggie Barker, Park Place Coordinator does a wonderful job with the decorations and the many themes during the year.  You never know what is coming next, but you know it is going to be good.  This week I visited Park Place and enjoyed seeing the center decorated inside and out wit... 10/16/2013
