In the past few months the state of Georgia has been hit hard by severe storms and tornado's. Cherokee County, GA was really hit hard by storm and hail damage from a tornado. I have noticed signs plastering the county advertising roof repair from hail or damage. On my street alone there have been 8 homes that had their roofs replaced due to hail damage.             I don't think that all of the homeowners are aware of the risk they take by hiring just any contractor to do their roof replacement. What's so special about having a Broker's license? Georgia real estate law provides two types of real estate licenses - salesperson and broker.  Each license has certain criteria required by the State of Georgia.  However, obtaining a Broker's license requires more experience and knowledge.  To obtain a Broker's license, one must have had a salesperson license for at least 3 of the last 5 years, completed 60 instructional hours in Broker's Course Study and then pass the Broker's real estate examination.
