Young Harris Wing House  Whether I am hiking or researching and showing property, when I am up in North Ga along the NC line, The Young Harris Wing House has become my favorite stop! The food is delicious and the people are great, and it is about a lot more than just wings!!!! On my last two stops I had a chicken philly and a burger. Both were absolutely outstanding. OOOOHHHH, and the spriral cut “sidewinder” fries are great! The restaurant is owned by the same folks that own Osborn Farms meat market and all of the beef is grown by them. The chicken is also locally and healthily grown at Springer Mountain Farms. They also have a small but full bar with a nice selection. Like I said in Baby It's Cold Outside - Avoiding Freeze Damage - Part 1, unless you've been on an extended tropical vacation, you've experienced the cold temperatures across the nation.  You'll remember we talked about heat tape in that article.  Here are some additional tips to help keep you, and your house, warm and safe this winter.  Use heat strip tape on crucial pipes, wellheads, etc. to avoid freezing and loss of use. Leave water trickling in faucets. If you're going be gone for an extended period turn OFF the water supply coming into your house.  Depending on the temperatures, this could even mean while you're away at work 8-10 hours/day.  This way, if a pipe does freeze and break, the water will not continue to run and flood your home or basement.  Unless you've been basking in the sun on a barefoot cruise in the Carribean this past weekend, you've no doubt read, heard or seen SOMETHING about the now-famous play between the Miami Hurricanes and the Duke Blue Devils. Just in case you WERE in the Carib - here's how it went down - with just seconds left in the 4th quarter, the Miami Hurricanes received a kick-off return and then proceeded to complete eight (yes that's EIGHT) lateral passes before Corn Elder ran down the field and scored the game-winning touchdown.  A flag, thrown in the backfield, was quickly retrieved and the TOUCHDOWN was declared official.   Sitting here watching the Super Bowl and following the comments on Facebook.  The Denver fans are bored and ready to change the channel and, although the Seahawk fans are loving the score, they wish it was more of a challenge. Somehow all this gets me thinking . . . .
