I have buckets of tomatillos from my Haiku Maui garden, now what? My neighbor grew some tomatillos here in Haiku, so I figured I could too.  They did very well and now I've been picking loads of them.  So what am I going to do with all these beautiful little round fruits?  They're good to eat raw, in salads or just as a snack.   I looked up some tomatillo recipes on the internet and made a great pork stew with some.  Kinda spicy! Haiku Maui HI 96708 - recent sales of vacant land acreage As spring turns to summer here in Haiku Maui, there have been a few recent sales of land in the countryside.  Quite an interesting mix of properties too and I'll go into some detail on each one. 733 N. Honokala Road - .68 acres sold for $250,000 on 5/16/13.  601 Days on Market.  This parcel was completely off-grid, with no county services.  Access was a little tricky and there was a lot of issues to deal with. Peahi Hui Lands Subdivision now taking reservations for Haiku Maui 2 acre lots At the recent Brokers Open for the Peahi Hui Lands Subdivision we toured the site and got maps and pricing info.  This will be a brand new agricultural subdivision in the Peahi area of Haiku Maui, with 16 lots of 2 acres or more.  The subdivision is not quite finalized yet, but the developers are taking reservations for the lots. It's all very raw now, with shrubs and overgrown grasses, but when completed, this subdivision will have underground utilities, county water meters for all lots, and ocean views from most of them.  The roadways will be paved and there will be minimal overhead street lighting.
