 Easter Egg Hunt at Gunstock RanchSaturday, April 15, 10 AMThe ranch suggests arriving by 9:15 a.m. to allow for time to park. Hop, hop, hop on down to the North Shore for a free community easter egg hunt and petting zoo on April 15th at 10 a.m. sharp on the North Shore in Kahuku, Hawaii! Over 8,000 eggs will be hidden this year. There are hard boiled eggs donated from Cackle Fresh and thousands of candy-filled and toy filled eggs in each field.  My grandsons, daughter and son in law came to Oahu, Hawaii to visit us this past May.  Our time spent with them (they live in California now) was priceless and of course with my 3 yr. old (soon to be 4 next month!) grandson running to meet me (almost fell down he was going full speed ahead!) at the airport was a sight in itself! We also had the chance to stay in the beautiful Turtle Bay-Kuilima West. Drive along Kamehameha Highway around the Kahuku area and you'll find many shrimp farms. Along side each shrimp farm you'll usually find their Kahuku Shrimp Truck that sell live or cooked shrimp to the public. Fumi's and Romy's are two favorites of mine for a lunch plate. Rice, skillet garlic/butter shrimp and voila! A wonderful fresh shrimp lunch! Kahuku has many shrimp farms that are built inland from the ocean although they are filled with salt water to raise the shrimp. They typically have two to three harvests a year.   Kahuku is also known for their agricultural products and you'll find many stands with fresh produce.
