A Gray Day on Kaua'i  Our first trip to Kaua'i back in 2011 was during a rainy time. Thankfully, it didn't keep us from exploring quite a bit, and there were plenty of sunny periods. I took this photo along the coast road north of Kapa'a on a rather gray day. It turned out looking like a black and white photo, which was actually kinda cool. Newly Listed Homes on Kahuna Road Kahuna Road is in Kapaa and loops around Kawaihau Road. I like Kahuna road because it’s a quiet road and there is a quiet stream along parts of it known to locals as Jonny Tex. To get to Kahuna road follow the main road up to Kapaa (Kawaihau road)  and up towards the Makaleha mountains. There are two ways to get there either make the first right on Kahuna road. Or travel until Kawaihau Road ends at the bridge and either head right or left. Parts of Kahuna road can have a similar feel to Wailua Homesteads or the North shore because of its isolation and wetness. Kapaa, Hawaii - condos for sale - Waipouli Beach Resort Sales Statistics  The sales at Waipouli Beach Resort did not see the increases in condo prices from 2012 to 2013 that we saw in some of the other condo developments on Kauai.  The number of sales remained almost flat with 18 sales in 2012 and 17 sales in 2013.     The most expensive Waipouli Beach Condo (H201) that sold in 2013 was listed for $1,475,000 and sold for $1,250,000 in August. Now there's one more great reason to live in Wailua Homesteads. There is now a dog park located in the Wailua Homesteads Park. The dog park consist of a fenced are of approximately 1.5 acres to the south of the playground and tennis courts. The areas are divided up into 2 sections, one for smaller & one for larger dogs. The park just open in January 2014 after a stalled opening when the 6 foot high metal gates were stolen. Fortunately donations and volunteers insured a quick replacement. The park assures exercise and socialization for it's user's. Hoku Whole Foods is a Natural Food Store located on Lehua Street in Kapaa, Kauai. It is located just a few blocks from my office Kauai Dreams Realty and I go there almost every day. Really almost every day that I'm working. After all they sell organic dark chocolate bars. I don't/can't drink coffee, so the dark chocolate is my caffeine boost. Hoku Whole Foods is a very successful business. They cater to a health conscious clientele. There's a lot of us on Kauai. But I believe what makes Hoku Whole Foods so successful is their sincerity in their business and products.
