Kapa'a Sunshine Farmer's Market Kauai

The Kapa'a Sunshine Farmer's Market is held every Wednesday at 3:00pm at the parking lot of the Kapaa New Town Park located across from the National Guard Armory in downtown Kapaa, Kauai. Local tropical flowers are often a good seller. Displayed here are bunches of Gingers and Heliconias. Shoppers may come earlier then 3:00pm and reserve food but it is strickly prohibited to exchange monies prior to the 3:00 bell or bulhorn. The market does not close until the last vendor leaves. So even those nine to fivers, can stop by after "pau hana" (quiting time) and still fine a vendor or two left. My favorite finds are in season mangos (it's to wet where I live to get a good crop) and the Kamabocha pumpkins that you can stir fry with their skins on.
