Making the Right Choices - Get the Big Rocks First Business or personal.  We all need make choices every day.  Those choices will determine our tomorrows.  Bob Crane wrote an excellent post in January examining the importance of constantly revisiting your goals to be sure you are in line to meet them.  I did so for end of month and not very pleased with myself.  I had to sit back and question as to whether I am Making the Right Choices and Getting the Big Rocks First.  Great video to watch: First I fell short on the January Blog Boost Post.  By the last 2 days mind you.  2nd I committed to a goal, in Active Rain, of 192 pounds by January and went 5 pounds the wrong direction.  And I am a full transaction and a half off what my monthly average needed to be on track for my 2015 goal.  Yes... 02/01/2015

One of the biggest concerns in any type of crisis is having good clean water.  Water is life and necessary to survival.  In this area we have alot of private wells.  When the power goes out though, so does the water.  I learned the hard way that chances are good that in a forest fire one of the first things to go is the electric and the water to fight a fire.     One of our local engineers has come up with a new hand pump for deep water wells.  I am sure everyone has seen a hand pump for a shallow well but those are usually only good for a maximum of 25 foot wells.  Deal Electric and pump has designed and manufactures a hand pumps for wells up to 300 feet.  I have one of these pumps and it doesn't take much effort to draw up water.  It fits in your well with your existing electric pump.... 11/09/2014

Sagle (Bonner County) Idaho It pretty easy to figure out why people choose the small community of Sagle to call home.  Beautiful blue sky, open spaces, proximity to Lake Pend Oreille, Sandpoint, Coeur d'Alene and Spokane, a strong community of residents and a spirit of volunteerism!  At least those are a few of the reasons that we call Sagle home.
