The Real Estate Association of Northwest Chicagoland reports show an increase in Buffalo Grove Home Sales on the year to date and month to date reports for both attached and detached homes. (Reports are provided below) The common trend we see here is an increase in homes sold, an increase in sales price and an increase in the median sales price. Due to the first time home-buyers and the move-up buyers tax credit the past six months have been booming with sales. 108 single family homes sold in Gurnee in the past 6 months.The buyers, as you can see in the chart below were much more aggressive in the second 3 months. Reason being, the government did not extend the tax credit this time around. Sales have increased somewhat, but prices have not. The good news is prices seem to have stabilized. Well we find ourselves 5 days from April 30, 2010. It was not long ago that we were near the deadline for the first time buyer tax credit of November 2009.
