It was quite an exciting Thursday afternoon in Carol Stream, Illinois! As with many parts of the United States, Carol Stream has had it's share of rain! All week we have had some very heavy showers and thunderstorms at some point during the course of the day. Thursday afternoon mother nature provided us with some very intense storms and some pretty intense moments!It all started about 2:30 pm (CST) when the Carol Stream Middle Schools were getting ready for dismissals. This was a pretty active week for me. Drove around in the heat, showed homes that did not have the air conditioning on (how rude) and celebrated a birthday. Have to love it when you are working with such a great seller. He tried so hard with several agents to get his home, which I am sure was purchased as a flip, sold. Was priced a bit high in todays market, but I remembered the home and had buyers who were pretty close to the price range and loved that style of house.  So, since I had shown it several times with other clients, when listed with agents, I drove my current clients by. The sign was gone and I called the seller. It was currently off the market. His agent had taken a part time job and well, sometimes that doesn't really work well. It is hard to believe July is over and we are in August. School starts in a few weeks. Buyers are looking to get into new homes before the school year starts. We continually are asked the question, "How is the real estate market?" Inventory is high and there are not a lot of buyers right now. That does not mean it is not a good time to buy or sell.
