The 2009 Real Estate Market for Deer Park Illinois. Deer Park Illinois is home to primarily single family homes on 1 acre lots with homes built in the late 60's through today. Less than 10 years old are the Deer Park Town homes subdivisions located on Long Grove Rd next to the shopping mall. These statistics are based on Deer Park being the named village in our MLS. Sometimes a listing Realtor will name a property as being in Barrington, so there may be some sales missing but this is beyond my control and likely will not affect the sales data much anyway. One of my favorite subdivisions in Deer Park Illinois.  Deer Lake Meadows Subdivision is made up of 1+ acres home-sites on winding roads with tranquil ponds throughout.  It is located between Ela Road and Quentin just north of Long Grove Road. Today June 3rd 2009, it was a beautiful if not slightly breezy day and so I deided to go on a home preview tour of Deer Park Illinois. I do this when I know I have clients coming to town that are considering Deer Park as a place to make home; and I want to get a feel for some of the listings we will be viewing. I lived in Deer Park for 5 years prior to moving to Florida for a while and so I do know most of the streets and subdivisions, but location of homes on a street or within a subdivision is more important. I went looking at some of the listings to see if they backed up to a main street, or to Cuba Marsh or to lakes. Deer Park has over 1000 homes and is divided up by subdivision. The Squires subdivision is on the south side of Cuba Rd, East of Ela Rd. There are 52  homes in total and are single family homes with 3 or 4 bedrooms. You'll find some ranch homes, 2 story homes and a few split level homes. Many have brick fronts, a few are all brick. Most have partial or full basements. Squires was built in the late 1970's. Properties have 1 acre lots, are on well and septic, and have established landscaping, and the common areas are well established with lots of evergreen and deciduous trees as well as the pond off Pheasant Trail.
