A very close friend of mine and his wife delivered their second child yesterday.  The little girl died of complications just  81 minutes later.  When I received that message it was as  if someone kicked me square in the gut.  If I felt that bad, I can’t even imagine what the parents are going through.Last month I attended a funeral of a nineteen year old relative that died suddenly and is probably why I’m a little more teary eyed today. When travesties such as these happen a lot of questions come to mind.  Obviously the first question will always be why?  Is there something that could have been done to prevent this? Questions that we truly never get answers to.I have a question that we all need to answer.  If you only had 81 minutes to spend with a child that you loved what would you do...

  Because the internet has made our businesses easier to find homes we as Realtors tend not to refer as much as we used to, at least within a twenty-five mile radius or so.  I myself have show homes that were at least a quarter tank of gas back and forth.  If you were following me on Twitter today, you would know that I was touring homes and posting a bit of a play by play of the homes I was in.  One of the homes made me go hmmm?  It was in a neighborhood that I had been in many times but really didn’t know the market, thus me touring.There is a neighborhood a couple of blocks away in the same town with a different school district.   Today has been one of those eye opening experiences where you take the things you have been taught over and over and over again and say wow, I get it. Southeast Hinsdale, Homes that are Moving, Hinsdale, Du Page County, Il. The area in Hinsdale that is known as Southeast Hinsdale, is the top living area of the town according to the area residents. What exactly does that mean? Well I will try to explain. The area I am defining is approximately from Garfield street on the west to the Woodlands on the right, the northern boundary is from the train tracks to 55th stret on the south. This area is considered the most desirable place to buy in Hinsdale. The grade school is Oak School with he average class size is 10-12. This is kindergarten thur six  grade. Foreclosures up 8%, Chicago, LaGrange, Hinsdale, DuPage County This is the newest report out from the Chicago Tribune. SO once again, the government needs to get out of this and let us do our jobs and hit the true botom of this market. We are not even there yet and the government is in the way, and has NOT given the people a solution to this mess.     From the Chicago Tribune: In January, nearly 6,000 Illinois homes became classified as real-estate owned, or bank-owned. Spring time is in the air. There is nothing like waking up at 4a.m. with the windows open and the birds are just starting to call. It is that time of year finally. In the Chicago area this is so welcome due to the very long winter we had this past season. It has been over 96 days of unseasonable cold days.   I am trying to decide to save my money for new clothes or new changes for my house. All this wonderful weather has got me wanting to bust out my favorite shorts.Which is exactly what would happen if I tried to squeeze into them right now.Yeah...I seemed to have packed on another ten pounds this past Winter, and right now my Spring/Summer clothes are fitting just a liiiiiittle too closely for comfort.   So I am off trying to run everyday to shed these few pounds by the end of summer....
